Microsoft Lumia Phones to Run on Windows 10
Windows 10 is no longer just a desktop OS as it now also powers Microsoft Lumia phones and tablets. Microsoft recognizes that mobile gadgets such as phones and tablets will play key roles in the success of a business enterprise which is why they are continually innovating mobile solutions.
A recent study conducted by the Bank of America show that over 91% of respondents think that mobile phones are more important than owning a car. Business owners have made the smart move to utilize mobile technology to boost productivity and efficiency in their daily operations.
Currently, there’s been quite a buzz building up about Microsoft Lumia’s upcoming phones – the Lumia 940 and 940XL. Both are rumored to pack some really impressive specifications. There’s also talk that the two phones will be Microsoft’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6 which has made the rumors around its form and functionality get even wilder.
Slated to be formally introduced on June 2015, these widely speculated about phones are said to be sporting these very remarkable specifications:
Microsoft Lumia 940
- 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display which supports full HD resolution
- Available in 32, 64 and 128GB with the 32GB model sporting the Snapdragon 808 chipset with a hexacore processor. Snapdragon 815 can be found on the 64 and 128GB models.
- All chipsets come with 3GB worth of RAM
- A whopping 25 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel front camera
- A 3,250 mAh battery
Microsoft Lumia 940XL
- Larger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, supports quad HD resolution
- Has a digital pen
- 4GB of RAM
- 3,950 mAh battery
Some mobile industry insiders also said that both devices will come with support for iris scanner biometric security. However, as of writing, there hasn’t been any official announcement from Microsoft regarding the new mobile phones.
