So paying these hackers right away would be in an organization’s line of thinking would be the easiest way out of this troublesome situation so much so that they could go back to their business as soon as they can possibly can.

Why would a hacker hack? For most it offers them a sense of false power and control plus the promise of money as ransom over the business one has hacked and for others it’s just for fun and a game that they need to do.
